Along with testing in our Grinnell office, Dr. Davis and Dr. Sunclades travel to various locations throughout the state. In 2025, they traveled to 40 locations for a total of over 160 days of testing. If you are unable to travel to Grinnell, talk with your case manager to see if we are scheduled to be in your area.
The average IQ score is 100. Most people in the population score within 15 points of average, making 85-115 the average range. The upper cutoff for Intellectual Disability (ID) is 70. The severity of ID can be mild, moderate, severe, or profound, based on the person's overall level of functioning. These all qualify a person for State waiver services depending on their severity and other considerations.
Davis Health Care provides the testing and report required for those applying for the ID waiver program; however, we do not have the final say on eligibility for the waiver program. If eligibility is in question, this is determined by the state review board.
